Maybe the best value close to the City! The Ambassador is a friendly, comfortable motel in a quiet, leafy inner suburb, away from the noise of major traffic routes. All units non-smoking - ashtrays on balconies and covered BBQ area. Walk or bus to Convention Centre, Southbank, City, and restaurants; West End, Mater and P.A. Hospitals, and "The Gabba" are all within walking distance if you fancy a walk. Also Brisbane Golf Club, about 4 klms. Bus at the door, and a short walk to the ferry across to the University, and the City Cat ferry which will give you a leisurely cruise down river to the City centre and beyond. Free bus pick-up and return for Yeronga RSL Club. All rooms have r/c air-con,microwave, toaster, jug, tea/coffee, crockery, cutlery, glasses, etc., iron and board, hair dryer, Foxtel, wireless and dial-up Broadband, D/D phone, clock alarm, and full-length mirrors. Also, internet access in Reception.

• Direction

  1. From the south, take the Stanley St. turn off the motorway; follow this past the Mater Hospital into Vulture St., then turn left at the lights into Gladstone Road - we are about a kilometre along on the left after a stone wall.
     
     From the North, turn right after the Story Bridge onto River Tce., then follow signs into Stanley St., then proceed as above.
     
     From the west along Ipswich Rd, through Moorooka and Annerley, and follow Annerley Rd. round to the left at the pub "the Muddy Farmer". After Dutton Park Railway Station, stay left into Gladstone rd., and we are about half a klm. along on the right.
     
     
     Alternatively,from the Airport, take the Airtrain to Central Station, walk to Adelaide St. (next block-about 100 metres), and catch a 196 or 197 bus to Highgate Hill, stop 14 - outside our door.
